Hollaback! trainings are informed by our continuous work in providing a community for people who have been subject to or witnessed negative behavior as well as those that want to champion a safer workplace and environment.
Hollaback! drives progress towards ending harassment in all forms in promotion of safer spaces – our trainings are pivotal. We train on implicit bias, bystander intervention, conflict de-escalation, resilience, compliant sexual harassment prevention, among other topics, equipping learners with an empowered feeling that they can too do something in light of negative behavior. Exit polls show that 99% of people we train leave confident they will intervene next time they witness disrespect or harassment.

BYSTANDER INTERVENTION IN THE WORKPLACE. We will equip your employees with the right information on how to be an effective bystander in the midst of workplace harassment using our proven 5D’s methodology. Sign up for a free mini-training and learn more.
BYSTANDER INTERVENTION FOR YOUTH: HOW TO STAND UP FOR OTHERS. This one-hour training, recommended for grades 8 – 12, offers an adapted version of our 5D’s of bystander intervention methodology especially for youth.
BYSTANDER INTERVENTION TO STOP VOTER HARASSMENT AT THE POLLS. In response to the increased voter intimidation and harassment in the 2020 election, Hollaback! offered a free, one-hour, training to train people on how to safely intervene when they witnessed voter harassment at the polls.
BYSTANDER INTERVENTION TO STOP POLICE SPONSORED VIOLENCE AND ANTI-BLACK RACIST HARASSMENT. In response to continued police violence against black communities, Hollaback! is offering this training to learn how to safely intervene in the face of police violence and anti-black racism.
BYSTANDER INTERVENTION TO STOP ANTI-LGBTQIA+ HARASSMENT. In this training, we’ll talk about how microaggressions and violence show up in the LGBTQ+ movement and what you can do to show up.
BYSTANDER INTERVENTION TO ADDRESS ANTI-ASIAN/AMERICAN AND XENOPHOBIC HARASSMENT. In response to the rise in Anti-Asian/American harassment, we adapted our bystander intervention training to meet this moment. Find information on multilingual trainings here.
BYSTANDER INTERVENTION: HOW TO BE AN ALLY WHEN YOU WITNESS ONLINE ABUSE. In partnership with PEN America, we have developed training to teach you how to use Bystander Intervention online. If you’ve ever witnessed someone being abused online, wanted to step in, but had no idea what to do, join this training.
BYSTANDER INTERVENTION TO TO STOP STIGMA AROUND LEARNING DIFFERENCES. We partnered with Eye to Eye to develop this training to teach people how to use Hollaback!’s 5D’s of bystander intervention methodology if they see stigma perpetuated around learning differences online or in person.
BYSTANDER INTERVENTION IN PUBLIC SPACES TRAINING. We will equip you with the right information on how to be an effective bystander in the midst of public space harassment using our five strategies for intervention.
BYSTANDER INTERVENTION TO SUPPORT LATINX COMMUNITIES IN PUBLIC SPACES TRAINING. To bring awareness to the increase of harassment toward the Latinx community in recent years, we offer this training to train people on how to safely intervene when they witness Latinx people experiencing harassment in public.
CONFLICT DE-ESCALATION IN THE WORKPLACE. If your team interfaces with the public, chances are they will face moments of escalation and will need to know what to do. We’ll arm them with de-escalation techniques so they can navigate these moments as leaders.
CONFLICT DE-ESCALATION DURING COVID-19. In partnership with Asian Americans Advancing Justice | AAJC, we will explore specific biases that are increasing harassment, and violence during the COVID19 pandemic — including how racism is experienced differently by communities of color.
RESPONDING TO AND PREVENTING HARASSMENT
SEXUAL HARASSMENT PREVENTION IN THE WORKPLACE. We’ll provide your staff with a robust, interactive virtual sexual harassment training that is compliant with state, city, and federal laws. Our training is unique in that it explores all forms of harassment and includes elements of bystander intervention.
HOW TO RESPOND TO ANTI-ASIAN/AMERICAN HARASSMENT WHEN IT HAPPENS TO YOU. As the pandemic escalates, we have seen more discrimination and even violence directed at Asian/American communities. During this interactive training, you’ll learn what to look for when assessing your safety.
8 STRATEGIES TO MITIGATE IMPLICIT BIAS. Everyone holds implicit biases. That doesn’t make us “bad people,” it just means that we have work to do. Through polls, brief thought experiments, and journaling, we’ll teach you how to understand and begin to undo your own implicit biases.
WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU EXPERIENCE ONLINE ABUSE TRAINING. We’ll teach you how to prevent online violence and how to ensure your safety. We also offer consulting packages for management seeking to shore up organization’s infrastructure to support their staff in the event of online harassment.
HOW TO LEAD DISCUSSIONS ABOUT RACISM: A PRIMER FOR FACILITATORS Recognizing the hostility and division permeating our present social dynamic, in this 90-minute training Hollaback! helps facilitators create a welcoming space for conversation across lines of difference.
RESILIENCE IN THE WORKPLACE. We’ll all inevitably face defeat in the workplace. The question is: how to respond? A resilient workforce is more able to take risks and bounce back from failure. This training will help your team build the resilience it needs to keep going strong.
RESILIENCE: THIS MOMENT AND BEYOND TRAINING. In response to an incredibly challenging time, we at Hollaback! are offering training on how to build personal resilience. With science as our guide, we’ll learn concrete tools to help you better manage and make sense of pain and trauma in this moment.
