Public Harassment: I was walking on the street…

I was walking on the street when a random biker passed by, slowed down near me and shouted at me angrily. I couldn’t clearly hear what he said, but it was along the line of “crazy girl, walk on the pavement!” or “you go on the pavement.” I was so startled because I had just experienced sexual street harassment and this experience triggered the trauma. I felt so scared and angry.

I hate it, too, because there was no space left on the pavement to walk on, and there was a guy walking right in front of me, also on the street, but the biker didn’t shout at him. The biker targeted me instead.

Public space should always be safe space. But now I feel like anyone on the street could attack me any moment.
