Public Harassment: I am a Hispanic middle-aged woman…

I am a Hispanic middle-aged woman. I was walking through a crowded grocery aisle shopping for Thanksgiving meal items. I came across a young Hispanic employee trying to assist an older Caucasian female customer. I was stopped in my tracks when I heard the woman tell the employee, “I don’t know how they do it in your country, but in this country we use “X ingredient” for our Thanksgiving meal.” I was about to intervene by calling the woman out for her comments, when I saw a man standing behind me that appeared to be accompanying the woman. Before I could decide if it was safe to intervene, the employee and the couple walked away to another aisle. To this day I regret not having said or done something.
