As it pertains to women’s empowerment and the trials and tribulations faced, we celebrate today one of our leading pioneers in women’s rights, Malala Yousafzai. We say to all, Happy Malala Day! Malala is a Pakistani activist who had the courage to speak out about young women’s education and rights despite the fear of being attacked, death threats and many other risks. I mean, she was even a survivor from a gun-shot to the head. Her activism is an inspiration to many folks to stand up for their rights even when you’re afraid to be yourself. We should follow Malala’s footsteps down that road and stand up for justice
