It was summer years ago and I was about to be a sophomore in high school, and my mom and I went up to the school for a meeting with some other mother music booster. Mom and the other mom started to talk, and I wandered off into the hallway to fool around with the piano.
About this time, a man in his 30s walked past and smiled. I smiled politely back as he headed into the men’s room nearby. I continued playing the piano when a few moments later I heard the man say, “Excuse me.”
I looked up to see him completely naked. I did the only thing I could think off; I slapped my hands over my eyes. He told me I need to look, that he needed me to look at him to get into a fraternity. I kept my eyes covered and told him to go away. He didn’t. I told him again to go away, and he told me, “Just a minute.” I heard a sound that I later realized was masturbation. Eyes still covered, I insisted that he leave or I’ll scream. I finally heard him jog off, and I looked around to make sure he was gone, before rushing back to the safety of my mother in the next room.
I never told her what happened.

This happened a few years ago when I was walking my dog on the golf course. I was just sitting there, daydreaming, when my dog started barking. I looked over to see a man lying on the grass about 10 yards from me, masturbating. I had done self-defense classes at university and I think my reaction surprised this pervert. I got up and ran AT him – I followed him all the way to his car, memorised the license plate as he drove off, then ran to some nearby golfers, asking for a pen and paper to write down the plate.
Later at home, I wrote a quick description of what happened and did a sketch of the man (he had an unusual hair do) I called the cops and gave them the sketch, the number-plate and the written description of what happened.
They later called back and said that they had given this creep a warning. Nothing else. Then I got angry. I started walking the dog with a friend after that.

I was doing my power walk through GGP a few years back. I saw a guy walking into the bushes when he saw me coming up. I don’t know why I looked at his direction but as I was walking by, he was sitting there by himself in the midst of the bushes masturbating. What a jerk. I was so peeved because my memory of this GGP walk was totally destroyed. I hated SF so much for all the crap that happens there. I’m glad that I moved and never regret leaving SF.

First off I have been a victim of the harassment crap since the age of 13, I am 24. Most of the cowards pull up in a car and flash them selves or play with their junk as if I’m asking for some kind of action. It’s lame and sickening; get a life dude or GO HOME! what is the need of showing it off on the streets. Anyway one of the 10 situations I want to talk about is called “unwanted breaktime” lol. One day I was at work, it was a nice day but I didnt want to go on a walk so I stayed in and chilled on the couch in our upstairs conference room. I cracked open the blinds to let some sun in and seen a helicopter right out the window, me being amazed with flying machines caused me to pop my head through the blinds and look as close as I could. I was then distracted by a drunk guy stumbling down the street and watched to see if he might get hit by a car or whatever and some mo**** fu**** pulled right next to him in a silver SUV Frontier, mind you I was looking down from a two story building, and the pig ass driver was playing with himself like no tomorrow while looking up at me!!! I couldnt believe my eyes! well I could but I COULDNT!.. I WAS UPSTAIRS!.. AT WORK!.. IN A BUILDING! What the HELL!! The words “keep your eyes on the road” went out the window that day, along with his clean record. I ran down stairs and out the back door of our office and got his plates. Now he’s a known offender. HOLLA!

I moved to NYC last spring and, in between apt viewings, was grabbing a slice of pizza with my mother at the Two Boots in the East Village. We were in a booth seat and I noticed a creepy guy outside the window on a bike staring at me for what felt like forever. I finally craned my neck to see what he was doing and caught him with his penis out, masturbating while staring at me. I reacted by standing up and immediately telling the manager of the pizza joint what was going one. He rushed to the door but the guy had already taken off on his bike. (His strategy of course is to do this on the bike so that he can get away ASAP after being caught). The only positive was the amazing manager of the pizza place who apologized and told me that if I ever saw that guy again around there to let him know and he’d regulate. I felt very violated and my hands were shaking and I was so angry. Not to mention my poor mother was in from out of town and this was her first impression of the East Village. Not cool! It was so violating. I ended up finding a place in the East Village and live here full time now and have seen this creep on the bike riding around since…he definitely lurks in the neighborhood.
Again, I applaud that woman for sticking up for herself and am glad that her offender was caught!

I was working on changing my car’s flat tire while it sat parked at the intersection of the street and an alley. Pausing for a moment, I looked up the alley, and found myself staring at a man with his pants at his knees, shaking his hips and nude genitals around in the air.
With a look of disgust I reached for my phone, but wasn’t able to get his picture before he pulled up his britches and took off. By the time the police were there, he was long gone, but I hope someone else gets a picture of him soon!
He looked to be in his 50’s and had a large beer-gut. Short, light-colored hair (grey maybe?), average height from what I could tell.

A few friends and I were walking through the neighborhood one day, just chilling. We were walking down Bay 46st, going towards the neighborhood park, to see a blue car exiting his driveway. We were walking towards the car, figuring that by the time we got there, he would have pulled out into the street, but he pulled out alright. He stopped his car, and was just sitting there directly in front of us without pants on! I was going to walk around the car, and curiously looked in when I heard his laughter. I didn’t realize what he was doing at first.. it took a second. My friends were just standing there in shock, and we all started yelling at him. The smile soon went off of his face, and he speedily drove away. I tried to get the license plate number, but he drove away too fast. We did not call the cops or anything, because we had no evidence, and we figured that they would not believe a bunch of teenagers. This happened in about May or June 2010, but I just recently found out about this website, so I figured I should tell you all my story so you guys can be on the lookout! If i remember correctly, he had longish hair. He was wearing sunglasses, and he looked from his 20s-30s. I’m not sure what kind of car it was, but it was small, 5 seats. I am still in shock that a some-what young man would have the audacity to do this! Especially in a kid friendly neighborhood like this. Careful girls!!

nt tried to make her his latest victim but she wasn’t having any of it. The petite Tai-Chi instructor and now Hollaback poster child has been seen by over half a million viewers giving this creep the lashing of a lifetime. Valdivia nt will serve jail time and is reportedly awaiting deportation.
“It’s about getting over the embarrassment of that circumstance and bringing the shame, taking away the shame, from you, as a woman being violated — and bringing the shame back on the perpetrator,” Briggs said, in an exclusive interview with CBS 2.
It wasn’t Valdivia
nt‘s first illegal adventure in subway sex abuse and, somewhat shockingly, wasn’t even his last—he was reported for the same offense in 2007 and yet again one month after assaulting Briggs. Oh, Mario. From us to you–please get help (but have fun in jail first).
But Mario Valdivia clearly doesn’t. The 51 year old Queens subway flasher picked the wrong tree, and after footage of his illegal adventure was captured by a bystander and published to YouTube, this monkey got busted. The video went viral, and Mr. Valdivia has been charged with forcible touching, public lewdness, and sex abuse. Insert slow clap with loud, strong, rising crescendo applause and hour-long standing ovation here.
HollaHERO, hear us ROAR. This story has several heros, and let us thank them for their good work: the amazing woman, who has become a voice for all that is HollaFabulous, the quick and timely investigative work on the part of the bystanders (and the cameraman’s request to ‘hey man, let me see your penis!’), and finally and very importantly, the serious NYPD action.
We hope all instances of sexual assault and abuse such as this one won’t require a viral video and subsequent prime time television coverage in order to be taken seriously, but we can celebrate a good thing when we see it.
Happy Thanksgiving to all. Enjoy the CBS report here:
This was sent to us by one of our readers, and is an incredible story of one woman who holla’ed back on her subway ride. Watch it, and bask in the glory of her HOLLAheroism.
